Abstract :

Our article aims to take up the question of whether 'environmental humanities allow us to analyse in greater detail the multiple hybridisations at work' (Call for papers for the conference 'Environmental Humanities: Science, the Arts and Citizenship in the Face of Global Change', UMR SENS, SEH, MSH SUD, Montpellier, 5-7/10/2021) in the management and use of natural, wild or anthropised environments. The aim is to focus on a case study, the Balagne micro-region in north-west Corsica, in order to observe the return of solidarity-based practices around the upkeep and development of 'natural' areas located close to where people live. Around these spaces, which are emblematic of local history and a certain way of life, associations, but also individual residents, are coming together to reactivate chjame - operate, collective solidarity operations, which were once very important for the cohesion and smooth running of rural communities. These are now opening up to all the components of the ecosystem, suggesting an ecological and social transition that is inclusive of non-humans.
