Etudier les langues nous semble un domaine très intéressant, surtout en cas d’emploi de la langue maternelle en situation d’enseignement/apprentissage d’une langue étrangère.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman", serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Au Maroc, l’utilisation de la langue française par l’élève se limite, pour la plupart des cas, à l’école. Cette situation pourrait influencer sur les choix des méthodes et les stratégies d’enseignement, aussi bien que sur les comportements langagiers de l’enseignant de cette langue. Ainsi, ce dernier peut se trouver, dans certains cas, incapable de faire comprendre aux élèves un mot qui leur est étranger. </span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman", serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Cet article est axé sur une problématique de situation de langues en contact. Il s’agit plus précisément d’analyser les comportements langagiers de l’enseignant du français par rapport à la langue maternelle en situation pédagogique. Par ailleurs, ce thème a pour champs d’investigation les classes primaires de l’enseignement public au Maroc. </span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

Nous remarquons l’adoption quasi-totale de la langue maternelle par l’élève marocain en classe de français langue seconde/étrangère. Ce qui nous a poussée à chercher les facteurs qui l’incitent à adopter ce phénomène linguistique.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

Nous avons choisi ce niveau dans l’échantillon du travail puisque, à cette première étape, l’enseignement du français est considéré comme une phase d’initiation.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman", serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Nous allons tenter, dans la partie pratique de cette contribution, de dégager le changement de comportements de l’enseignant en classe de français langue étrangère en fonction des difficultés langagières qu’il rencontre, autrement dit, en fonction de la divergence des situations qui lui impose d’employer la langue maternelle (l’arabe) ou la refuser.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

On ne peut pas se satisfaire d’une simple transposition des méthodes. </span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman", serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Par ailleurs, certains spécialistes s’accordent à définir le français langue seconde (FLS) comme une langue étrangère. Ce lien est particulièrement visible chez CUQ Jean-pierre<a href="#_ftn1" name="_ftnref1" title=""><span class="MsoFootnoteReference" style="vertical-align:super"><span class="MsoFootnoteReference" style="vertical-align:super"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">[1]</span></span></span></span></span></a> qui intègre le concept FLS dans le domaine du FLE. C’est dans cette logique que nous choisissons d’alterner entre le concept de langue étrangère et celui de langue seconde. La dimension de la politique linguistique importe ici mois que la notion didactique ou encore sociolinguistique de la communication pédagogique. </span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

Les relations de rôle dans une situation pédagogique: la classe de langue</span></span></span></b></span></span></span></p>

Ainsi, l’élément le plus important de ses situations est le facteur humain, c'est-à-dire les participants. Dans une situation pédagogique, c’est un cadre où s’établit une communication interpersonnelle entre enseignant et apprenant.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-left:48px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""> Par ailleurs, une classe de langue peut être décrite comme un ensemble ouvert de messages circulants. Traditionnellement, l’enseignant joue le rôle de l’émetteur privilégié, et les apprenants se trouvent le plus souvent en situation de récepteurs. Il ne faut pas oublier que leurs responsabilités au sein de l’interaction ne sont pas les mêmes. Ainsi, l’apprenant (non-expert) est là pour apprendre, et l’enseignant (expert) pour soutenir cet apprentissage.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

Émetteurs de messages, il leur incombe d’apprendre à coder adéquatement les messages qu’ils produisent. Un processus pédagogique doit se préoccuper davantage des destinataires que du contenu à transmettre.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

Partant de-là, l’enseignant du français langue étrangère doit s’adapter à la situation socioculturelle de l’élève apprenant en adoptant ainsi des principes méthodologiques convenables à cette deuxième langue. À tout moment, l’enseignant doit se souvenir que ses élèves ne sont pas français. Son rôle n’est pas alors de décrire la langue mais de l’enseigner. C’est à lui qu’il appartient de présenter les éléments nouveaux de la leçon en enseignant la forme (phonétique, morphologique, syntaxique…) de ces éléments, en même temps que leur sens précis dans un contexte socioculturel donné.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-left:48px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Par ailleurs, un enseignant qui maitrise la langue cible à un haut niveau bénéficiera, en général, de plus de moyen de fournir un input linguistique adéquat qu’un enseignant qui se sens moins à l’aise dans cette langue. On peut donc s’attendre à trouver un lien assez étroit entre le niveau linguistique de l’enseignant et les résultats de ses élèves: « On est bon professeur que par rapport à des apprenants déterminés et dans une situation donnée <a href="#_ftn2" name="_ftnref2" title=""><span class="MsoFootnoteReference" style="vertical-align:super"><span class="MsoFootnoteReference" style="vertical-align:super"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">[2]</span></span></span></span></span></a>». </span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

L’enseignant doit, par des techniques appropriées, susciter chez les élèves le désir de parler, de dire, d’écrire; il doit chercher à multiplier les occasions de lire en classe, comme à la maison, et à veiller la curiosité des apprenants pour des livres de valeur. </span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

Faut-il se servir des catégories de la langue maternelle pour expliquer ? Ou doit-on se limiter aux explications dans la langue enseigné ?</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

Une plus grande erreur consiste à enseigner le français à de jeunes étrangers de la même manière qu’à des élèves français. Autrement dit, les aptitudes et les compétences des enfants français et étrangers sont en effet quantitativement et qualitativement totalement différentes.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman", serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Bien qu’évidentes, les différences entre acquisition et apprentissage n’en sont pas pour autant faciles à expliquer :</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman", serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">-L’apprentissage de la L1 est un phénomène inévitable alors qu’il n’en va pas de même pour l’apprentissage d’une LE.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman", serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Dans une situation d’enseignement/apprentissage d’une langue étrangère, les participants doivent choisir un code (la langue maternelle) ou un autre (la langue cible). Il existe de ce fait deux modes d’acquisition d’une L.E selon qu’il a y transfert des processus médiationnels de L1 vers LE ou construction de processus médiationnels spécifiques à LE.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

Ce transfert s’appelle « interférence », ce qui implique inévitablement que les habitudes de la langue maternelle l’empêchent, en quelque sorte, d’acquérir les habitudes de la langue étrangère.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman", serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Un enseignement de langue étrangère dépend nécessairement de la situation des apprenants, notamment sur le plan langagier, et particulièrement, pour ce qui touche aux relations vécues entre la langue source et la langue cible.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman", serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Les méthodes dites directes visent à faire acquérir les LE de manière « naturelle », en se fondant sur des mécanismes identiques à ceux qui ont conduit à l’acquisition de L1.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman", serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Pour certains auteurs, la L1 ne constitue pas, comme pour les participants d’une approche structuraliste de l’enseignement des langues secondes, une source fâcheuse d’interférences qu’il faut neutraliser par tous les moyens (refus de traduction, de la comparaison explicite…). Elle peur devenir au contraire un auxiliaire précieux de l’apprentissage d’une langue étrangère.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman", serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">En effet, dans certaines circonstances, la situation d’acquisition d’une LE conduit à l’utilisation de processus de traitement proches de ceux qui sont utilisés pour l’acquisition de L1. Alors on retrouve en L.E des phénomènes démontrant l’existence d’ordre d’acquisition identiques à ceux de L1.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman", serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">L’homme s’approprie le système de sa langue maternelle, mais s’il entend parler une autre langue, il emploie involontairement par l’analyse de ce qu’il entend le « crible phonologique » de sa langue maternelle qui lui est familier, et comme ce crible ne convient pas pour la langue étrangère entendue, il se produit de nombreuses erreurs et incompréhensions.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman", serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">L’élève qui a pris conscience du système phonologique de sa langue maternelle, dans cette optique structurale, est mieux préparé à saisir le système phonologique d’une langue seconde.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman", serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">On a imaginé une stratégie d’intégration nouvelle, qui consistait principalement à introduire un certain type de structure grammaticale ou lexicale, d’abord dans la langue étrangère pour demander aux élèves de chercher les structures correspondantes dans la langue maternelle et susciter, ainsi, une réflexion en classe sur les caractéristiques de l’une et de l’autre langue.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman", serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Par ailleurs, l’utilisation de la langue maternelle ou le rappel constant de celle-ci ne peut en effet que favoriser les interférences entre les deux systèmes, paralyser la formation des automatismes dans la langue seconde.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

La traduction n’est pas nécessairement le processus essentiel par lequel s’acquiert une langue seconde.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

L’enseignant peur s’appuyer constamment sur les connaissances de langue maternelle et user fréquemment de la comparaison entre les deux langues. Les élèves pourraient être entrainés à passer constamment d’une langue à l’autre par le jeu de la traduction. Mais dans certains cas, l’enseignant peut refuser, implicitement ou explicitement, la présence de la langue maternelle tout au long du cours.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

C’est pourquoi on a prévu, pour être plus proche de la réalité, de faire une étude analytique exploratoire, afin d’observer qualitativement la correspondance des apports théoriques avec les pratiques réelles de classes.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

Cette enquête a débuté dès le mois de décembre jusqu’au mois de janvier. Pour obtenir des enregistrements qui contiennent des comportements spontanés de l’enseignant par rapport à la langue maternelle, il était nécessaire de travailler au moyen d’un instrument: le magnétophone, tout en prenant le soin pour qu’il ne sache ni le véritable sujet de l’enquête ni le moyen utilisé. Nous avons procédé ensuite à la transcription phonétique des énoncés arabes en recourant aux signes de l’alphabet phonétique international (API), et au système de l’alphabet phonétique arabe. </span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

Ce niveau constitue la phase introductive à l’apprentissage d’une langue étrangère. Cette phase où l’utilisation du français présente de sérieux problèmes. D’un côté, l’élève marocain se trouve incapable de s’adapter à une langue dont il ne connait même pas un mot, surtout s’il n’a jamais fréquenté les classes préparatoires en langue étrangère (LE). D’un autre côté, l’enseignant à ce niveau n’aurait pas d’autres choix pour simplifier la tâche de l’apprentissage de la (LE) que le recours à la langue maternelle.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman", serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">L’introduction du français à ce niveau présente de nombreuses difficultés, c’est que la plupart du temps, les enseignants en situation d’enseignement de cette langue cible se trouvent obligés d’adopter des comportements langagiers différents selon la nature des difficultés qu’ils rencontrent en classe.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman", serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Le présent travail avait pour objectif de décrire les comportements langagiers de l’enseignant du français (langue étrangère) au cycle primaire de l’enseignement public au Maroc. En effet, l’analyse a porté sur les comportements de l’enseignant face au recours à la langue maternelle. Les exemples sur lesquels s’est appuyée cette étude étaient tirés de plusieurs situations d’enseignement/apprentissage du français au niveau (C.E.3). Ceci, nous a amené à repérer certains cas où l’enseignant fait appel à la langue maternelle, et d’autres cas où il essaie d’éviter ce recours de manière implicite ou explicite. </span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

Cette langue reste toujours pour eux une langue étrangère. Devant cette inaptitude des élèves, l’enseignant se trouve obligé d’accepter le recours à la langue maternelle. Elle reste et elle l’a toujours été un véhiculaire pédagogique dont les enseignants ne peuvent nullement s’en passer en classe de langue étrangère.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
