<p>Notre article a pour objectif d&rsquo;analyser un dispositif d&rsquo;enseignement-apprentissage du FOU, d&eacute;velopp&eacute; au Carr&eacute; International de l&rsquo;Universit&eacute; de Caen, intitul&eacute; le &laquo;&nbsp;parcours FOU&nbsp;&raquo;. Dans ce cadre, les deux niveaux DUEF (B2 et C1) proposent aux &eacute;tudiants &eacute;trangers un programme d&rsquo;insertion dans des cours universitaires de leur choix, &agrave; titre d&rsquo;auditeur libre. Cette insertion pr&eacute;suppose une observation active des cours choisis ainsi que la r&eacute;daction d&rsquo;un dossier d&rsquo;observation universitaire. Le &laquo;&nbsp;parcours FOU&nbsp;&raquo; se propose donc de contribuer &agrave; la construction du &laquo;&nbsp;m&eacute;tier d&rsquo;&eacute;tudiant&nbsp;&raquo; dans le milieu universitaire fran&ccedil;ais, par l&rsquo;acquisition des m&eacute;thodes et techniques de travail sp&eacute;cifiques, &eacute;troitement li&eacute;e &agrave; celle de la langue acad&eacute;mique.</p> <p>Ce sont les t&eacute;moignages des &eacute;tudiants, r&eacute;pertori&eacute;s dans une quarantaine de dossiers d&rsquo;observations, qui retiendront notre attention et que nous analyserons du point de vue du processus d&rsquo;acculturation universitaire. La r&eacute;alisation de ce dossier s&rsquo;appuie sur l&rsquo;observation r&eacute;flexive du choisi ainsi que sur une comparaison des syst&egrave;mes universitaires en termes de sp&eacute;cificit&eacute; disciplinaire. Ces observations visent &eacute;galement &agrave; identifier&nbsp; les strat&eacute;gies &eacute;labor&eacute;es tant par l&rsquo;enseignant que par&nbsp; l&rsquo;&eacute;tudiant, &agrave; travers la compr&eacute;hension d&rsquo;un cours fran&ccedil;ais, la prise de notes et, plus largement, les modes d&rsquo;acquisition de la langue en contexte acad&eacute;mique.</p> <p>Les r&eacute;sultats obtenus nous permettent de remarquer une prise de conscience progressive des difficult&eacute;s relevant de ce m&eacute;tier d&rsquo;&eacute;tudiant.&nbsp; ainsi que la constitution, par les &eacute;tudiants observ&eacute;s d&rsquo;une palette de strat&eacute;gies de m&eacute;diation visant &agrave; retenir, restituer et construire des connaissances.</p> <p><strong>Mots-cl&eacute;s</strong> : dossier d&rsquo;observation ; m&eacute;tier d&rsquo;&eacute;tudiant ; processus d&rsquo;acculturation ; parcours FOU ; strat&eacute;gies de m&eacute;diation</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><em>Abstract</em></strong></p> <p><em>Our paper aimes to analyze a learning course in French for Academic Purposes proposed by Carr&eacute; International at Caen Universit&eacute;, entiteled &laquo;&nbsp;Parcours FOU&nbsp;&raquo;. Two different levels are available&nbsp;: B2 and C1 following the Common European Framework, both proposing an integration programm in academic courses that the student are free to organize. To reach that goal, student are invited to observe actively the chosen courses and to report the experience in an academic outocome record. Throughout this experience the candidates are supported in their approach to &laquo;&nbsp;becoming a student&nbsp;&raquo; in a French university. It allows indeed to acquire a specific methodology related to academic language proficency.</em></p> <p><em>We have based our research on testimonials from sudents from over 40 academic records and have paied a particular attention to the acculturation process and more expecially to the ability for reflective observation, the ability to compare academic systems and to identify disciplinary cultures. We also tried to enhance student&rsquo;s and teacher&rsquo;s strategy revealed through activities such as note taking developped in order to understand and acquire adacemic language skills.</em></p> <p><em>The results highlight a gradual awareness of the issues of &laquo;&nbsp;becoming a student&nbsp;&raquo; and the building of a range of &nbsp;m&eacute;diation strategies.</em></p> <p><em><strong>Keywords</strong>&nbsp;: Academic record, becoming a student, acculturation process, French for Academic Purposes, mediation strategies</em></p>
