In reviewing the various works on the concept, resistance appears ambivalent: it refers to several meanings and belongs to several scientific fields, which requires its delimitation in the educational field. Thus, our research aims initially to analyze the theoretical discourse which refers to the notion of resistance in order to identify its epistemological contours. Then, we collect the discourse of students in a writing learning task situation in order to detect an attitude of resistance. In small groups, the learners comment on their actions and their feelings, which makes it possible to detect certain aspects of their relationship to the task and to peers. Our research shows the educational value of the notion of resistance for education and opens up avenues of mediation that are focussing on teaching practices.

Key Words: resistance, learning, written production, in relation to knowledge, in relation to others, in relation to task, metacognition, task
