<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman,Times,serif;">Des recherches effectu&eacute;es dans divers domaines d&rsquo;&eacute;tude d&eacute;montrent que les albums de litt&eacute;rature de jeunesse constituent un outil puissant pour soutenir le d&eacute;veloppement de l&rsquo;empathie au cours de l&rsquo;enfance. En outre, ce monde litt&eacute;raire particulier qui s&rsquo;offre aux jeunes enfants par la m&eacute;diation des adultes contribuerait &agrave; fa&ccedil;onner leur th&eacute;orie de l&rsquo;esprit et leur permettrait de s&rsquo;exercer &agrave; comprendre la perspective d&rsquo;autrui. Mais, comment se caract&eacute;risent ces albums&nbsp;qui soutiennent le d&eacute;veloppement de l&rsquo;empathie ? Et comment les enseignants peuvent-ils agir en tant que m&eacute;diateurs entre l&rsquo;album et les enfants pour favoriser ce d&eacute;veloppement&nbsp;? Dans cet article, nous tra&ccedil;ons un &eacute;tat des lieux des connaissances afin d&rsquo;apporter quelques &eacute;l&eacute;ments de r&eacute;ponse &agrave; ces questions. Aussi, &agrave; partir de nos propres analyses, nous pr&eacute;sentons des exemples qui illustrent d&rsquo;une part les caract&eacute;ristiques des albums et d&rsquo;autre part, les interventions de l&rsquo;adulte, m&eacute;diateur de l&rsquo;album.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman,Times,serif;">Studies from different fields of research are showing that children&#39;s books are a powerful tool in supporting the development of empathy in childhood. This particular literary world, through the mediation of adults, sustains the development of their theory of mind and allows them to practice their perspective-taking skills. But what features characterize those albums that are so powerful to support the development of empathy? And how can teachers act as a mediator between the album and the children to promote this development? In this article, we offer a literature review of knowledge to provide some answers to these questions. Based on our own analyzes, we present examples that illustrate the characteristics of the albums and the interventions of the adult as a mediator between the album and the children.</span></span></p>
