<p>De nos jours l&rsquo;esclavage est per&ccedil;u comme la pratique la plus r&eacute;pugnante. Il serait contraire aux valeurs humanistes dans lesquelles s&rsquo;inscrivent les soci&eacute;t&eacute;s modernes de notre si&egrave;cle. C&rsquo;est dans le cadre de la lutte contre cette pratique que les Etats du monde ont adopt&eacute; des instruments juridiques tant sur le plan supranational que national. Il en va ainsi pour le Mali qui a souscrit maints engagements juridiques &agrave; vocation abolitionniste de ladite pratique. Tr&egrave;s r&eacute;cemment le pays a adopt&eacute; une nouvelle loi en date de 2016 qui s&rsquo;inscrit sp&eacute;cialement dans le m&ecirc;me dessein. Cependant, il convient de relever qu&rsquo;en d&eacute;pit de l&rsquo;abondance des dispositifs normatifs visant &agrave; abolir l&rsquo;esclavage, nous assistons &agrave; la survivance du ph&eacute;nom&egrave;ne. Les facteurs qui justifient cela sont &agrave; la fois d&rsquo;ordre historique et contemporain. Tandis que les premiers reposent sur la tradition et la religion, les seconds r&eacute;sident dans l&rsquo;ineffectivit&eacute; des normes juridiques &eacute;dict&eacute;es &agrave; cet effet. Face &agrave; cette situation d&eacute;concertante, il importe d&rsquo;explorer des solutions susceptibles d&rsquo;en finir avec cette pratique ancestrale qui demeure encore comme une pratique fr&eacute;quente sous nos cieux. Ces solutions doivent se traduire par la mise en oeuvre de moyens et de m&eacute;thodes &agrave; la fois persuasifs et dissuasifs. Alors que les moyens de persuasion visent &agrave; &eacute;radiquer la pratique par le biais de la sensibilisation, ceux de dissuasion tendent &agrave; infliger des sanctions exemplaires &agrave; l&rsquo;encontre des responsables de l&rsquo;esclavage ou de toute autre pratique qui lui est assimil&eacute;e.</p> <p><em>Abstract: Slavery is seen as the most disgusting practice today. It would be contrary to the humanist values ​​in which the modern societies of our century subscribe. It is in the context of the fight against this practice that the states of the world have adopted legal instruments at both the supranational and national levels. This is the case for Mali, which has subscribed to many legal commitments with an abolitionist vocation to this practice. Very recently, the country adopted a new law in 2016 which is specially designed for the same purpose. However, it should be noted that despite the abundance of normative mechanisms aimed at abolishing slavery, we are witnessing the survival of the phenomenon. The factors that justify this are both historical and contemporary. While the former are based on tradition and religion, the latter reside in the ineffectiveness of the legal norms enacted for this purpose. Faced with this disconcerting situation, it is important to explore solutions that could put an end to this ancestral practice which still remains as a frequent practice under our skies. These solutions must result in the use of means and methods that are both persuasive and dissuasive. While the means of persuasion aim to eradicate the practice through awareness raising, those of deterrence tend to inflict exemplary sanctions against those responsible for slavery or any other practice assimilated to it.</em></p>
